Business and management: Overview

Welcome

Welcome to the Business and management guide. Throughout the guide's sections you'll find our suggestions for key resources and information in this subject area.

Getting help researching and using Library resources:

  • Look through the Finding Resources Guide for advice on getting started with searching and use the comprehensive Help sections in individual databases
  • Look out for Information Literacy, referencing and database training in your modules (if there aren't any, ask your module leader to invite us to speak at a lecture or organise a workshop)
  • Attend Information and digital literacy training in the LibSmart programme - classes could be online or face to face this year.  Upcoming workshops are listed elsewhere on this page, or see the LibSmart guide for more details. We (your subject librarians, Alice and Kanwal) run the workshops Bloomberg and FT.com, and there are many other great workshops run by other librarians
  • Get help from the librarian on duty at the LibSmart point, usually on the first floor of the Library, near the business books. This will be run mostly online at the start of 2020/21 - to be relaunched early in term 1.  A subject librarian will be available Monday - Friday 1-5pm.  We (Alice and Kanwal) will let you know on Twitter @BBSLibrarian when we will be available each week.
  • Book an appointment (over MS Teams or Zoom) using the link on this page. If there aren't any available then email us.

To get you started, here are the key shelfmark areas for your subject. The floor information is for books; print journals will have the same shelfmark but all journals are on the third floor.
