We subscribe to a mixture of print and online academic journals, magazines, trade journals, and industry reports that you are likely to find useful. Below you will find some essential titles to get you started but you can use Library Search to find articles by subject/keyword, search for a journal by title via our eJournals search or library catalogue, check out individual databases by going to the databases tab, and find open access content available online too.

Industry Reports
Through our databases Business Source Premier and Mintel you can access industry profiles, market intelligence, and other game industry business reports. These are reliable sources of statistics like market performance, market size, market share, as well as consumer attitudes, behaviours etc. The reports linked below are only a small selection of reports available for 2021/2022, be sure to use the databases to find more.

1. Use Library Search to find articles by topic / keyword. Remember to apply the Journal Article and Peer-Reviewed filters. To eliminate citations and abstracts, you can apply the Full Text Online filter too. |
2. Develop a search strategy and use search operators to refine your search. You can find out more about this by visiting our guide on finding resources, or book an appointment with your Academic Liaison Librarian. |
3. Search for a specific online journal by title using our eJournals A-Z search. |
4. Search our print journal and periodical holdings using the library catalogue. Remember to apply the periodicals filter. You can find them all on the 3rd floor of the library. |
5. Seek out reliable academic sources and Open Access content online. View the Websites section of this guide for some places to start. |
6. Use Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, browser extensions like Unpaywall, and social media sites for academics such as ResearchGate and Academia to find even more content. |
