Top Tips For Finding Academic Journal Content

1. Use Library Search to find articles by topic / keyword. Remember to apply the Journal Article and Peer-Reviewed filters. To eliminate citations and abstracts, you can apply the Full Text Online filter too.
2. Develop a search strategy and use search operators to refine your search. You can find out more about this by visiting our guide on finding resources, or book an appointment with your Academic Liaison Librarian.
3. Search for a specific online journal by title using our eJournals A-Z search
4. Search our print journal and periodical holdings using the library catalogue. Remember to apply the periodicals filter. You can find them all on the 3rd floor of the library.
5. Seek out reliable academic sources and Open Access content online. View the Websites section of this guide for some places to start.

6. Use Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, browser extensions like Unpaywall, and social media sites for academics such as ResearchGate and Academia to find even more content.
